Dizzled honey combined with vanilla bean works in unison to provide a complex aroma that is silky and fluent. The initial contact with the palate instantly reflects the reason that the Coniglio is only produced in vintages of exceptional quality. Caramel, butterscotch, toffee and a hint of smoked manuka enriches the palate. The flavours combine elegantly to leave a long, lengthy full flavour, long after the back of the throat has been graced.. The Coniglio style will age gracefully for many years.

Auntsfield don’t make Sauvignon like everyone else in Marlborough. The point here is expressing the mineral texture of this old site, including use of a bit of old oak and months of lees ageing and stirring. The result is released later, will live longer and speaks more about mouthfeel, lemon pith texture and fine, chalky minerality. Intense and pure aromas of fresh nectarine and peach skin are complimented by notes of passionfruit, ripe citrus tropical fruit and crushed herbs. This wine displays intense ripe fruit flavours of nectarine and white peach, with citrus notes of ripe grapefruit and mandarin peel. The palate has intense concentration and generous weight, balanced by an underlying minerality and tight structure to shape a wine with lively tension and textural balance.
