Auntsfield don’t make Sauvignon like everyone else in Marlborough. The point here is expressing the mineral texture of this old site, including use of a bit of old oak and months of lees ageing and stirring. The result is released later, will live longer and speaks more about mouthfeel, lemon pith texture and fine, chalky minerality. Intense and pure aromas of fresh nectarine and peach skin are complimented by notes of passionfruit, ripe citrus tropical fruit and crushed herbs. This wine displays intense ripe fruit flavours of nectarine and white peach, with citrus notes of ripe grapefruit and mandarin peel. The palate has intense concentration and generous weight, balanced by an underlying minerality and tight structure to shape a wine with lively tension and textural balance.

Low temperature fermentation has retained the fresh, crisp and aromatic quality of the wine whilst still allowing its character to shine through. Perfumes of white flowers and white melon with mineral notes provide a backdrop to the full, ripe palate and lift the finish. An elegant wine, with a touch of honey on the finish.
A dark, brooding wine with rich aromas of chocolate, mocha and ripe black cherries. The intense, savoury palate balances the weighty fruit with the ripe, supple tannins beautifully and finishes on a long, smoky, chocolate note.

Good depth of colour and a lively, fresh perfume with notes of cherry, plum and a touch of spice. Rounded, ripe summer berry fruit on the palate with a clean, plummy finish. The fruit for the Merlot Corvina is grown in vineyards situated next to the Soave zone in the Val d‘Alpone. The Merlot is grown on the warm, sheltered plains, on clay soils and the Corvina in the foothills on tufaceous basalt soils. Both are in vineyards with excellent exposure to ensure complete ripeness.

This is a very innovative product, a young “Super-Tuscan”, whose characteristics are never found together in the same wine. Dogajolo combines the power and deep colours of a young wine, the elegance and balance given by wood aging, as well as a fruity and fragrant bouquet.
On the nose, pleasantly fruity, elegantly aromatic and harmonious. On the palate, medium body with agreeable acidity and a dry, pleasantly velvety, soft finish. Excellent as an aperitif or with typical Mediterranean cuisine, such as salads, pasta, seafood and white meats. Also good with flavourful, spicy Asian foods
