Bottled by Càrn Mòr at a healthy 58.7%, this expression was distilled back in April 1997 and was set aside to mature in a Sherry Puncheon cask until April 2019, when it was bottled as part of the Celebration of the Cask "Black Gold" range. Only 590 bottles were produced of this incredibly rich spirit.

Glen Keith Carn Mor Cask Strength 1988 has a nose that is very full and intense and shows some tropical fuits notes together with curry spices (chilli and cummin). On the palate the long ageing the in bourbon barrel has given rich vanilla flavours matched to citrus fruits and honey on toast. The finsh has more sweet citrus fruits, coffee and spice notes. An independent bottling by Morrison and Mackay of Glen Keith single malt distilled on 4th October 1988 and matured in a bourbon barrel before being bottled as part of their Carn Mor Celebration of the Cask range on 24th August 2017. 221 bottles were produced.

On the nose a fresh and lively combination of crisp, green orchard fruits, stem ginger and hints of tangerine mellows to creamy vanilla with a delicate note of mint and a gentle twist of citrus, all held together with a sweet barley back note. Warm toasted oak spices flood through green apple skins and dried apricots in the mouth, ripening to hints of peach and soft banana. Subtle touches of aniseed and lemon zest create a contrasting edge to the fruit and add an intriguing character to the long, crisp barley finish.
