This is a wine that is both elegant and complex. It has a fantastic nose with aromas of sweet oak, clove, black tea and vanilla with the classic dried dark cherry notes that typical of Sangiovese. On the palate it has more classic Sangiovese notes with rich dried fruit flavours matched to a sour cherry acidity, a generous well balanced finish supported by a firm but soft tannic structure.
Ripe red boasts flavours of cherry, cedar and herb matched to a medium-bodied structure. The acidity and tannins are well balanced by the sweet juicy fruit and spices. The lingering finish combines rounded fruit with a touch of racy acidity.

On the palate, good weight and suppleness of fruit, with toasty nuances from the oak well-integrated into the overall complexity. The wine displays exceptional balance, a lively, complementary acidity and a long, lingering finish.
