On the nose, the Qupe A Modern White has aromatics of stone fruits (primarily peach and apricot) coupled with notes of honeysuckle from the Viognier. With the addition of Chardonnay and Marsanne, there comes an additional minerality, along with a wonderfully fresh dryness.
The ripe fruit flavours are underpinned by the use of neutral oak in the barrel fermentation, to add texture, complexity and richness.
Vigna di Gabri has a brilliant straw yellow color with light green reflections. The nose opens with fruity notes, classic white peach combined with a citrus note of grapefruit, intertwined with floral notes of elderflower and wild flowers. The palate perfectly reflects the nose, enlivened by a fresh savory streak. A fine and elegant white, with an intriguing personality and surprising longevity.
Laurence de Veyrac Viognier has a light yellow colour with green glints. On the nose the first notes are of banana, citrus and pine resin fruity aromas which develop into yellow peach and mango hints. The palate is fruity and lively with a rich well balanced mid palate with more peach and fresh pear flavours. The finish offers a very interesting buttered and lemony taste.
Pale straw in colour, this wine has a nose of ripe, green citrus fruit and Christmas spices. The palate is fresh and richly textured, with notes of ripe pears, almonds and peaches, and a clove-like finish.
The apricot, musk and orange blossom aromas of this wine are complimented by a hint of vanilla from the barrel. Subtle oak continues to influence the palate combined with a soft acidity. The palate is full bodied with sweet fruit flavours of pear and apricot.
Expressive on the nose with notes of white peach and acacia flowers,these aromatic flavours continue on the palate alongside ripe citrus fruit and a delightful hint of brioche. The superb freshness of the wine makes for a delicious match with grilled fish or rich creamy mushroom sauces. Serve at 16-18° and the wine shows enormous depth and complex mineral tones.
Deep purple red in colour, the wine is a heady mix of dark berry fruit, with earthy nuances and lifted florals from the addition of Viognier. Excellent structure, it has great depth and richness of plums and blackberries with supportive, balanced oak and a lingering finish.
Lively floral and peach notes on the nose. The palate has mouthwatering stone fruit, apricot and white peach flavours, supported by zesty citrus acidity and a long finish. This is a more delicate and elegant expression than many of the mainstream oily, rich examples of Viognier – it has wonderful freshness and lots of personality.
This Viognier has a lovely pale golden ‘robe‘ with bright undertones. Very aromatic on the nose, it offers wonderful notes of citrus fruit and white flowers. On the palate, the style of the wine is quite ‘lean‘, ‘tense‘ and mineral as opposed to a more buttery and full bodied style of Viognier. The finish is long and mouthwatering with fabulous flavours of apple and almond.
Intense red colour with a purple rim. A spicy profile with ripe black fruit and violets. Smooth and rich on the palate with soft tannins, good density and a hint of oak. A well balanced, unpretentious wine made for easy drinking.
