Traditional (but not easy to find) blend of indigenous grape varieties, made with a short skin-contact maceration. Fruity, with a delicate dry bitter finish.
This blend of Nero d’Avola and Frappato is slightly purple/red in the glass showing aromas of wild cherries, plum and mulberry with just a touch of raspberry lift. There are hints of flowers, leather, smoke, spice and herbs with wafts of liquorice, earth and mandarin rind. In the mouth the initial attack of fruit is awash with wild cherry sheathed in tobacco leaf with supporting fruit flavours of dark plum and blackberry. A very pretty wine on the palate with violet-like floral flicks across the leather and spice backdrop with hints of roasted meats, citrus rind and scattered herbs. It’s delicious and lively with a nice, lingering finish set upon a plinth of ripe, fine grained gravelly tannins.

A fresh blend of Aglianico with a less known (but still delicious) indigenous red grape variety: Piedirosso. Vinification and aging in cement tanks like tradition dictates.
Deep, almost shy on the first nose, it reveals itself as the aromas come into focus: wild berries and candied fruit make way for roasted hazelnuts, baked bread, leather, eucalyptus and pomegranate, then the full robust palate shows plenty of temptingly chewy flesh. Soft yet penetrating its sweetness is backed by a supporting acidity that weaves elegantly amongst the fruit. A great introduction to this grape variety.

Very warm, rich nose with some honeyed, nutty character. Broad but still fresh with a berryish sort of quality. The palate is broad and focused with a herby, nutty richness and a buiscuitty quality, with raspberry flavours that exudes class. as well as great acidity. The dosage is very low so this is one of the driest Champagnes we have. It is long and refreshing and very well balanced.

A blend of Procanico and other historic Maremman grape varieties (Greco and Ansonica). The Maliosa Bianco is the only orange wine made 100% from ancient Tuscan grape varieties, following the traditional winemaking practice of long skin macerations. At Fattoria La Maliosa they only use indigenous yeasts to naturally ferment the grapes without the addition of sulphites. La Maliosa Bianco Maremma Toscana has a pronounced yellow colour. Very complex nose with aromas of honey, ripe fruit, saffron and cumin. Soft tannins, with a slightly bitter finish. This wine is just perfect with hot seafood appetizers and codfish.
