Bastia Valdobbiadene DOCG Extra Dry

Bastia Valdobbiadene DOCG Extra Dry has a yellow straw colour, with fine and persistent perlage, it is incredibly pleasant with floral notes (wisteria and rose in particular) and a broad fruity bouquet.

The balanced savoury notes, slightly aromatic, are a temptation for your palate. Its elegance and delicate character make this wine one of the most loved among Spumante lovers.

Bastia winery was born in Saccol, heart of Valdobbiadene DOCG, at the feet of the Bastìa hill, the beginning of the narrow but famous zone called Cartizze.

Of small dimensions but of great prestige, the company Azienda Agricola Rebuli Michele is the fruit of 5 generations lived among these wonderful as hard hillside vineyards very steep and rugged, placed at the high about 300 mt above the sea-level.

Winemaker:

The producer has few hectares of vineyards of its property, all of them placed in the top-quality Valdobbiadene district, suitable for the Prosecco Superiore DOCG appellation.

Moreover, Bastia owns a hillside vineyard in the Cartizze area with optimal exposure at the sun, steady ventilation and sandy soil. All these elements combined together give the very best expression of the variety Glera (originally called Prosecco).

The hill of Cartizze is a 1,000-foot-high vineyard of 107 hectares (260 acres) of vines, owned only by 140 growers. The Prosecco from its grapes, of which comparatively little is produced, is widely considered to be of the highest quality, or even the “Grand Cru” of Prosecco.

According to a local legend, Cartizze grapes traditionally were harvested last, as the vines were situated on steep slopes and hard to reach, which made vintners discover that this extended ripening period improved the flavour.

Bastia takes directly care of the entire production process, from the vineyard to the cellar. Everything here is done with passion, love… and rigorously by hand!

Pol Roger Brut

Pol Roger Brut Reserve is synonymous with classic, brilliant Champagne. The Champagne has its devout disciples within the trade - almost a trade secret! When you get to taste it you will understand why the trade want to keep it for themselves. The small, classic bubbles, perfumed spice, vanilla and coffee leading to a fruit filled bundle of vibrant tastes finishing with elegant spices and a hint of butter. On the nose, white flowers, green apple, brioche and a trace of minerality dominate the champagne. On the palate there are notes of stone fruits, certain nuttiness and a hint of honey supporting the freshness of the acidity. UK stock receives an additional 6 months post-disgorgement ageing so it is ready to drink upon release but cellaring for a few years will reveal greater depths. The aperitif champagne par excellence but one, which has sufficient backbone to be drunk with a variety of foods.

Bollinger Special Reserve

Special Cuvee is made from a majority of reserve wines fermented either in mature oak casks or small stainless steel tanks depending on the characteristics and fundamental potential of the base wines. A significant part of the reserve wines have been fermented in mature oak barrels before being transferred into magnums, which are then stored under cork in Bollinger’s cellars for as long as 12 to 15 years, with a minimum of 5. Blended some years later with the other base wines, coming from the two latest harvests in proportions which can change from one year to another, they impart the final blend with an inimitable and unrivalled consistency and majesty.

Spagnol Prosecco DOCG Frizzante Lo Spago 2017

The colour is bright straw yellow and it has the light and soft perlage typical of Frizzante wines. The nose senses a bouquet of apple and floral notes of acacia and wisteria. The taste is fresh and very typical, with good acidity balanced by tatantalizing sapidity or an almost salty minerality. The cork is fixed to the bottle neck with twine, a procedure which is still done today by hand, just as it has been done for generations by the farming families of this area.
