Caramel Vodka Liqueur

This elegant and fresh Caramel Vodka Liqueur is made in Italy, exclusively for Hay Wines, by artisan distillers Piolo & Max.

It is a blend of natural caramel and high quality base spirit, normally Grappa, with a unique balance.

This artisanal Caramel Vodka is amber in colour, with intense buttery and toffee fudge aromas.

The natural sweetness of caramel is balanced by alcohol in order to create a very elegant finish.

Mix it with a number of different drinks (ginger beer, tonic water, soda water, coffee)! You can also add it to whipped cream and use it to garnish biscuits and cakes!

The Hay Wines Caramel Vodka Liqueur is available in 50cl bottle.

About Piolo & Max

Two young liqueur producers from Trieste, who in 2003 embarked on an adventure running a small business creating their own liqueurs and spirits.

For them there is no magic formula, but a true passion and love for the work they do.

They always pay special attention to the quality of the raw materials, all strictly natural and when possible organic.

Their little “workshop of spirits” is in the heart of Trieste.

This is also a place where everyone is always welcome to drop by at any time to taste new flavours… and test their latest inventions!

Italian Liqueurs: a tradition of quality

This beautiful Rhubarb Gin is part of our own range of Gin liqueurs. Compounded the old fashioned way - the way you probably make Sloe Gin at home - by steeping diced rhubarb in London Dry Gin. We added sugar at the end of the process as we wanted to keep the tartness and sweetness nicely balance. Excellent with different mixers, but also incredibly balanced if consumed neat. Moniack Mead

Rating:
Moniack Mead is a traditional honey mead which is produced at Moniack Castle by Highland Wineries, and is said to be one of the best meads being made in modern times. Mead is one of the oldest alcoholic drinks known in history and, like all meads, Moniack Mead is produced through the process of fermenting honey. An interesting fact about mead is that it is traditionally drunk for the month after a wedding which is where the word “honeymoon” came from. Moniack Mead has a lovely, lingering and smooth flavour with elements of caramel and fermented honey. Our recommendation is that this mead is best served either chilled or if you prefer as a aperitif. 75cl bottle

Creme de Pamplemousse Rose Briottet

The grapefruit or pomelo rose originates in the Antilles archipelago in the Caribbean. It grows in bunches, which is where its name in English comes from (grape means cluster). Our Pink Grapefruit Liqueur perfectly expresses the grapefruit's acidulous side. It is refreshing in the mouth and and it perfectly brings out the pink grapefruit's flavours -- softness and bitterness. A real treat, one to be savoured. "Mark: 16/20. Expressive, an impression of fresh grapefruit, well-balanced, round and smooth, with a lively and refreshing finish". "Le Point" French news magazine, 17/11/2011. • Difford's guide 2017 : "Excellent"

Mandarine Napoleon

Mandarine Napoléon is an exquisite, well-balanced blend of mandarins and refined 10-year-old aged cognac. Dating back to the early 1800s, and its roots stemming from the hands of Napoléon Bonaparte, the liqueur’s history is as rich as its distinctive flavor. The drink was custom made for Napoléon, after the emperor came across chemist Antoine-François de Fourcroy, known for his extraordinary skill of distilling. It was not until 1892, after the two had died, that the liqueur was introduced to the public.
