Like that vintage foreign convertible, Cartlidge Browne Pinot Noir takes extra effort to maintain.

But when done properly elicits respect and envy. If it was easy, then everyone would do it.

And that’s half the point. Take the top down and go out for a spin just once and you’ll know it’s worth it all.

His unique curiousity and adventurous spirit has helped him build the strong, business that it is today. The Cartlidge & Browne slogan, 'Please stick your nose in our business'; has become an offbeat way of expressing the winery's attitude that wine should not be taken so seriously!

Everyone at Cartlidge & Browne has chosen winemaking as profession for many reasons, but above all else, they want the wines they produce to ignite stories of good friends, good food, lots of laughter and lasting memories.

Viticulture takes place in the southern half of Lake County, mainly around Clear Lake, where the vines benefit from the temperature-moderating effects of the lake. The smaller AVAs of High Valley and …more

California’s North Coast AVA is vast, covering more than 3 million acres (1.2 million ha) of land to the north of San Francisco.

Its large size should not be taken as an indicator of low quality or a lack of regional identity, however – the area is home to some of the wine world’s most valuable and distinctive real estate.
