Case Corini Bricco
Case Corini Bricco is a fruit-driven and eclectic blend of Barbera and other indigenous grape varieties.
The Wine Estate builds upon the ideas and philosophical approach of Lorenzo Corino, a real “vineyard man”.
Agronomist and researcher, author and co-author of more than 90 technical and scientific publications on the subject of wine.
He can counts many collaborations with Italian and international institutions, regional governments, consortiums, associations and producers.
Professor Corino is most importantly a strong supporter of farming in harmony with the rural world, and with attention to sustainable management methods.
We are now at the fifth generation of winemakers at Costigliole d’Asti.
In the meantime, he also began running the winemaking project at Fattoria La Maliosa.
In 2013 after a long career that concluded as manager of the Centro di Ricerca per l’Enologia di Asti.
Case Corini Bricco: the Producer
Lorenzo’s collaborations with organic and biodynamic wine producers are numerous.
A strong supporter of farming in closer harmony with the rural world and with particular attention to sustainability.
According to him, we must rethink how winemaking and enology is done.
Moreover, we must have greater respect for environmental and ethical values.
His mindset is linked to the value of “soil capital” and the surrounding environment.
In addition, there is a special focus on the optimal use to increase health and taste properties of wine.
The cultivation choice under the name of “Metodo Corino”, focuses on promoting organic matter and biological life.
Furthermore, it aims to valorise the conservation of land use capacity, through interventions like restricting compaction and erosion.
Consequently, it is possible to achieve a totally vegetal-based biodynamic cycle.
