More Information

Casè Harusame

Casè Harusame is intriguing Traditional Method rosé wine, from 100% Pinot Noir.

The winemakers add natural must to start the secondary fermentation in the bottle. Not disgorged. Wild and fresh.

A sparkling Pinot Noir following completely natural winemaking methods.

The vinification follows the Traditional Method, but without adding any substance other than grapes.

The base wine comes from vinification “in white” of Pinot Noir grapes in purity.

After aging in steel for about a year, natural must is finally used to achieve the second fermentation in the bottle.

Casè Harusame - The Philosophy

Natural wines are not chemically manipulated to produce a standardised output, which must be preserved at all costs.

Therefore, they reflect their vineyard origins better. Therefore, they can also vary significantly from one vintage to the next. They feel the influence the climate and of the general environmental context.

Certainly, the objective is precisely to obtain the best possible output under varying circumstances, always trying to deliver a wine that reflects the distinctive character of the territory.

Moreover, having very little or no added SO2, natural wines usually evolve in the bottle, especially in the first months or years.

This is a general characteristic of completely natural wines.

Casè Harusame - The Producer

Casè is a small, independent winery. It started in 1998 in the hills of Val Trebbia, an area of great natural beauty.

The first vineyards date back to the 1998 and 2000. They arrived after a careful analysis of the characteristics of the soil and the climate.

Immediately the owners realised the huge potential of this land to grow Pinot Noir vines.

In 1998 they planted a small vineyard of about 3200 square meters and, two years later, another one of 7500 square meters.

Today Casè is a growing business that makes a distinctive and unique wine.

Certainly, the primary objective is precisely to produce wines that are different from the “international taste”, wines indeed with a different taste each year, according to the characteristics of the territory and the climate.
