Charles Heidsieck Rose Reserve

Charles Heidsieck Rose Reserve is a deliciously fresh wine which perfectly expresses the complexity of the Charles Heidsieck spirit.

Coral-like in appearance, with subtle orange reflections reminiscent of antique roses.

Freshly picked strawberry aromas gradually become more intense, with home-made strawberry jam and blood peach alongside rich, warm notes of gingerbread and cinnamon.

A vivacious palate full of red fruit, with some generous floral notes. Following a silky-rich texture, the finish is long and balanced.

Charles Heidsieck is one of the most admired Champagne houses thanks to the unrivalled and consistently high quality of its wines.

The current range is one of the most awarded collections of wines in the world.

The intricacies of the champagnes’ complex make-up have been perfected over the years by one of the most celebrated winemaking teams in Champagne – between three winemakers they have been awarded ‘Sparkling Winemaker of the Year’ at the International Wine Challenge fifteen times.

This winemaking legacy, paired with the house’s flamboyant history since its foundation in 1851 by the man who would become known as ‘Champagne Charlie’, makes it a unique offering from Champagne: a house with great, hand-crafted wines, heritage and proven quality.

Charles Heidsieck have built exceptional relationships with the most experienced growers the entire Champagne region. For the Rosé, fruit comes from top villages, such as Riceys, Ambonnay and Ay.

After the first fermentation in stainless steel each tank undergoes malolactic fermentation to soften the natural acidity.

Blended with a base of 20% red and white reserve wines, and 5-6% of the Pinot Noir having been vinified as a red wine, the cuvée is bottled and yeast added to begin the second fermentation.

The bottles are placed in the cellar at a temperature of about 10°C.

In order to achieve the depth and complexity required by the house style, Charles Heidsieck age their Non-Vintage champagne for three years before disgorging, much longer than the legal requirement of 15 months.

Spagnol Prosecco DOCG Frizzante Lo Spago 2020

The colour is bright straw yellow and it has the light and soft perlage typical of Frizzante wines. The nose senses a bouquet of apple and floral notes of acacia and wisteria. The taste is fresh and very typical, with good acidity balanced by tatantalizing sapidity or an almost salty minerality. This wine is closely linked to the traditions of this territory and characterised by the typical “twine knot”. The cork is fixed to the bottle neck with twine, a procedure which is still done today by hand, just as it has been done for generations by the farming families of this area.

Pol Roger Brut

Pol Roger Brut Reserve is synonymous with classic, brilliant Champagne. The Champagne has its devout disciples within the trade - almost a trade secret! When you get to taste it you will understand why the trade want to keep it for themselves. The small, classic bubbles, perfumed spice, vanilla and coffee leading to a fruit filled bundle of vibrant tastes finishing with elegant spices and a hint of butter. On the nose, white flowers, green apple, brioche and a trace of minerality dominate the champagne. On the palate there are notes of stone fruits, certain nuttiness and a hint of honey supporting the freshness of the acidity. UK stock receives an additional 6 months post-disgorgement ageing so it is ready to drink upon release but cellaring for a few years will reveal greater depths. The aperitif champagne par excellence but one, which has sufficient backbone to be drunk with a variety of foods.

Spagnol Prosecco DOC Treviso Extra Dry 2019

Classic straw yellow colour. Fine, persistent and delicate bubbles. The bouquet has perfumes and aromas ranging from fruit (pear, apple) to flowers (acacia, elderflower). The sugars in the wine are perfectly balanced with clean acidity and a typical minerality that comes from the fact that the grapes are grown in some of the region's best vineyards. This all gives the impression of a drier wine, but incredibly smooth and well balanced on the palate. From Spagnols family vineyards, low sulphite and suitable for vegans, an excellent value for money. A real artisan Prosecco, for a real Prosecco lover!
