Ciu Ciu Merlettaie Offida Pecorino colour is straw-yellow On the nose it is very intense and persistent with grassy notes, hawthorn blossoms aromas and touches of vanilla. In the mouth it’s fresh with an almost salty minerality balancing the ripe apricot and peach fruit, agreeable and soft to the palate.
The lace workers of Offida weave together the threads, with precise and quick movement of their fingers. They are the last witnesses of a precious art of ancient origin… so it is the origin of Pecorino, a noble Italic, austere, harsh and strong grape’s variety, which has been confined for decades onto the bare and steep slopes of the Piceno Apennines. A few wine growers have recently rediscovered this wine thanks to their love and enthusiasm. Pecorino is rare, precious and able to exhale a strong personality recalling ethereal and persistent sensations, year after year. Its personality and strength are harmonically enhanced by fermentation in “noble” wood, a perfect example of the past combined with a new oenological knowledge.
In the enchanting hills of the Marche region, it is as if time has stood still to tell everybody of its history and origins. A little ancient world where the past lives in the present and the soundness of its traditions merges with the strength of the innovations in a constant striving for quality in its wines.

The Ciù Ciù Organic winery is located in the heart of the Piceno hills, at Offida (Ascoli Piceno), in the Rosso Piceno Superiore production area.
In the farm, even if it is a family run business, works a technical group which aim is to restore the wine and oenology inheritance of the wines of Region Marche. The scrupulous care and growing systems of the vineyards, have brought the wines Ciù Ciù to quality range that made them famous in the national and international market.
They produce a range of organic red wines that express quality, derived from the natural wine-growing ecosystem of the range of hills that slope downwards from Offida to the sea. These red wines owe their bouquets, tannin and colour to distinguished grapevines such as Montepulciano and Sangiovese, These genuine products harmonically embrace the most modern and state-of-the-art wine making techniques to enhance the quality of the wine.
