Description
Corte Giara Amarone Classico
Corte Giara Amarone Classico is a very intense ruby red, red fruit bursting with ripeness, spicy background notes, especially pepper and cloves, are followed by hints of minerals and a deep nuance of tobacco, mouth-filling and velvet-smooth.
Corte Giara Amarone Classico is imposing and tightly-knit body maintains an elegant and silky profile thanks to the perfectly-honed and balanced acidity and sweet, perfectly interwoven tannins.
“Intense and inviting ruby red. The characteristic hints of cherries and pepper are particularly enjoyable in this wine, followed by subtle nuances of officinal herbs.
Dry and well-balanced. The traditional acidic note combines well with the softness of the fruit to form a satisfying contrast and produce a supple, feisty wine.”

The Allegrini family estate covers 100 hectares of vineyard in the heart of the Valpolicella Classico area.
The family has been growing grapes here for six generations, but the estate in its current form was founded by Giovanni Allegrini. http://www.cortegiara.com/en/modern-passion.php
When he died in 1983, it passed to his three children, who ran it together until Walter‘s death in July 2003.
Franco now looks after the vineyards and is the winemaker, and Marilisa is director of marketing. Corte Giara is the negociant label of Allegrini. The wines are made by Allegrini from fruit bought in from outside their own vineyards.
