Description
Domaine Chanson Viré-Clessé
Domaine Chanson Vire-Clesse is a pleasant pale gold colour. The aromas are dominated by refreshing floral fragrances mixed with white and yellow orchard fruit and a hint of minerality on the palate. Well-balanced and precise. Refreshing finish with lemony tinges on the finish.
Food pairing : A fine, dry apéritif, great with light seafood and raw vegetable hors d’oeuvres.
Site
In the heart of the Mâcon wine growing region, South of Burgundy. The two villages Viré and Clessé form a unique “terroir” on slopes facing South-East.
In Viré, the soil is chalky with large layers of clay. In Clessé , the soil structure is slightly different with a combination of chalk and clay mixed with liasic marls combined with oyster- fossils which convey to the wine a specific minerality. This is one of the best white wines of the region combining suppleness and minerality.

45 ha owned exclusively in Premiers and Grands Crus, in the heart of Burgundy, in the most beautiful villages of Côte de Beaune : Santenay, Chassagne Montrachet, Puligny Montrachet, Beaune, Savigny-lès-Beaune, Pernand Vergelesses and Corton.
Owner of 25 ha in the 10 most beautiful Beaune Premiers Crus, Domaine Chanson is rightly considered as one of the Premiers Crus specialists in Beaune.

This is the village adjacent to Sancerre and Pouilly Fume where wines of similar style are made but because of Quincy’s ‘lesser’ name at much reduced cost.
