Domaine Dureuil-Janthial Rully Maizieres Rouge

Domaine Dureuil-Janthial Rully Maizieres Rouge has intense red fruit aromas (cherry, strawberry and raspberry) with good acidity, making this wine perfect for ageing. Intense, complex and well balanced oak ageing.

Producer

The estate covers 20 hectares in Côte Chalonnaise (mainly in Rully and Mercurey), but also in Côte de Beaune and Côte de Nuits (3 hectares). We are proud to work the vines of many terroirs that each express a subtlety, an original expression in white and red.

Work and respect for the soils, good agricultural practices, 100% manual harvests, our vines are the object of all attention. For the various works of the vine, we have been using the lunar calendar for many years.

When the time comes for the harvest, we do not hesitate to take the risk of harvesting late. The goal: to reach the end of the ripeness of the grapes to obtain wines stretched, fond, with a beautiful minerality and an acidity present.

Winemaking

AGE OF VINES: 20 years
WINEMAKING: Hand-harvested. Destemmed; cold maceration for eight days; fermented on indigenous yeasts in open-top wooden tanks. Aged for
18 months in French oak barrels (30% new). Bottled unfined and unfiltered, according to the lunar calendar.
TASTING IMPRESSIONS: Aromas of red plums, red cherries, light herbs, baking spices, pepper. Very aromatic. Fine-grained tannins, good
concentration. Red and black fruits, pepper.
PAIRING SUGGESTIONS: Lamb burgers from the grill, duck with dried fruit
