Description

Bright yellow in colour this wine is intensely floral with jasmine and honey character alongside the classic citrus and apple notes. The palate is rich yet fresh, with hints of truffle and spice as well as more primary pear and lemon fruit on the long, complex finish.

Les Blanchots is one of seven Chablis Grand Crus. It comprises 12 hectares (of which Domaine Laroche own 4.5) and is known for its fragrant aromas and elegance. The steep, south/southeast facing slope has excellent exposure to the sun and the poor Kimmeridgean soils give an ageing potential of at least 10-20 years.

Les Blanchots is one of seven Chablis Grand Crus. It comprises 12 hectares (of which Domaine Laroche own 4.5) and is known for its fragrant aromas and elegance.

Domaine Laroche epitomises Chablis. The quality of their wines is impeccable, with all wines carrying the Chablis hallmark of crystalline purity and steely minerality.

Laroche were the first Burgundian producer to move to screw caps in 2002 and now all their wines, from Petit Chablis through to Grand Cru, are now closed under stelvin. http://www.larochewines.com/en/cuvee-la-reserve-de-lobedience

The domaine has been built up over the past 160 years, but a dynamism that is unusual in such a venerable producer permeates everything Laroche does.

Domaine Laroche’s ownership of vineyards is remarkable, and sets them apart from their main competitors.

Chablis is a fragmented region, but Domaine Laroche owns 100 hectares of vines, including an impressive 30 hectares of Premier Crus and six hectares of Grand Crus.

Domaine Laroche epitomises Chablis, with impeccable quality and a remarkable 100 hectares of vineyards, including 30 hectares of Premier and six hectares of Grand Crus...

Founded in 1850, there is still a dynamism which permeates everything they do. Michel Laroche, along with his wife Gwénaël, remains involved in the business.

As part of their aim to retain purity and minerality in the finished wine, Laroche was the first Burgundian producer to move to screwcaps in 2002.
