Edinburgh Seaside Gin

Edinburgh Seaside Gin is a delicately balanced gin, featuring foraged botanicals including scurvy grass, ground ivy and bladderwrack. These are complemented with spice notes from grains of paradise, coriander and cardamom.

Seaside Gin makes for a deliciously refreshing G&T on a summer’s day, garnish with a sprig of samphire. Alternatively, try a delightfully dry, Seaside Martini with olive and anchovy garnish; the perfect thirst- quencher for a summer’s day.

Inspired by the East Coast shoreline near Edinburgh, Seaside Gin is a small-batch gin which harnesses the magic of the seaside to evoke a day at the beach. Originally a limited edition

Edinburgh Gin is award-winning and distilled in the shadow of Edinburgh Castle! Scottish juniper, pine, heather & milk thistle combine with 8 classic botanicals in a copper still to produce their original and perfectly balanced premium gin. 43% ABV.

Nestled beneath the West End of Edinburgh, you’ll find something of a hidden wonderland – the Edinburgh Gin Distillery. Steeped in history and creation, we invite you to disappear down the rabbit hole and indulge yourself in the mystery of the beautiful botanical libations we call gin.

EH1 is where the magical heart of Edinburgh beats – but it’s not just at street level where you’ll find curious goings on. There’s plenty of life underground too and that’s where you’ll find the home of Edinburgh Gin. No other distillery can claim to be located in such an enchanting part of Scotland’s capital city.

Having gathered some of the most seductive and exquisite gins the world has ever seen, it is a curious playground for the palate.

Moniack Mead

Rating:
Moniack Mead is a traditional honey mead which is produced at Moniack Castle by Highland Wineries, and is said to be one of the best meads being made in modern times. Mead is one of the oldest alcoholic drinks known in history and, like all meads, Moniack Mead is produced through the process of fermenting honey. An interesting fact about mead is that it is traditionally drunk for the month after a wedding which is where the word “honeymoon” came from. Moniack Mead has a lovely, lingering and smooth flavour with elements of caramel and fermented honey. Our recommendation is that this mead is best served either chilled or if you prefer as a aperitif. 75cl bottle

Mandarine Napoléon is an exquisite, well-balanced blend of mandarins and refined 10-year-old aged cognac. Dating back to the early 1800s, and its roots stemming from the hands of Napoléon Bonaparte, the liqueur’s history is as rich as its distinctive flavor. The drink was custom made for Napoléon, after the emperor came across chemist Antoine-François de Fourcroy, known for his extraordinary skill of distilling. It was not until 1892, after the two had died, that the liqueur was introduced to the public.
