Famille Perrin Ventoux Rouge

Famille Perrin Ventoux Rouge is a nice dark ruby colour.

The Famille Perrin Ventoux Rouge nose shows ripened cherry, black berries jam, spicy and leather notes. A round, fruity and ample mouth.

Stewed fruit linked with liquorice and grilled aromas together with a slight minerality.

Famille Perrin Ventoux Rouge is a perfect match to good cheeses but you can also enjoy it with a wide variety of dishes (hot or cold starters, charcuterie, cooked vegetables, quiches, pizza).

Famille Perrin consists of two generations, nine brothers, sisters and cousins who share the tasks and decisions under a philosophy of excellence initiated by Jacques Perrin.

The legendary cuvée "Hommage à Jacques Perrin ", a tribute to him, is the only non Bordeaux French wine to be distributed by Bordeaux negociants alongside the Premiers Crus Classés.

Associated with the world's finest wine producing families, Famille Perrin is a member of the Primum Familiae Vini association since 2006.

Jean -Pierre and François Perrin said: "We never followed the trends! We are pleased to see that the decisions made by the successive generations are now the source of the success of our family.

To follow through with your ideas, sometimes in disregard of the ideas of other people, is a way to assert its own identity but also means taking the risk of being misunderstood.

Or that people think you are crazy! Only the result counts and this award proves that this strength of character, without any concession, becomes today a must-have to make great wines."

From the slopes of Mount Ventoux also known as the "giant of Provence" and a famous climb in the Tour de France.

The Perrin family, also owners of the famous Château de Beaucastel, search for the most suitable terroirs to produce a fresh and fruity wine. Unpretentious, this is the archetypal pleasure wine; authentic, genuine and tasty.
The vineyards are located on the slopes of Mont Ventoux. The altitude offers freshness, which provides a good acidity level to the grapes. The wine is therefore fresh, fruity and well balanced. Famille Perrin Ventoux Rouge
This varies according to altitude but consists for the most part of deposits left around the base of the chalky Mont Ventoux by the seas of the Tertiary period. Red Mediterranean soils blend with chalk debris and round stones.
This is adapted to suit each wine, grape variety and producer. Nearly all the grapes are lightly crushed and fermented in cement vats of 150 and 300 hectolitres.
The fermentation is classic and extended. The wine is kept in both vats and large oak barrels for ten months, then bottled in July.
