Faultline Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc has a lifted nose showing aromas of passion fruit, blackcurrant, grapefruit and nettles with refreshing underlying mineral.

Faultline Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc is a light bodied refreshing wine with typical Marlborough flavours of gooseberry, blackcurrant and grapefruit, a pleasing mineral note leads to a long lingering finish.

Faultline Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc :  Made by winemaker Alana McGettigan who works with Matt Thomson in the Kiwi-Oeno winemaking consultancy.

Alana makes two vintages every year, working in Northern Italy or Southern France in September each year before returning to her native New Zealand. The Faultline Sauvignon Blanc is one of Alana’s favourite drinking wines

Skipstone is tucked between two stunning hillsides in the mountains above Alexander Valley.

We aspire to perfection in every aspect of our winegrowing and estate farming and draw inspiration from the unparalleled potential and promise of the earth.

Uncompromising in our standards of sustainability and our treatment of the land, we are committed to nurturing the precious resource that is our 200 acre estate.

Blessed by nature, we listen intently to the terroir of our vineyards, and in turn, our wines speak eloquently of their origin. http://www.skipstoneranch.com/sustainable-farming/

We will never be driven by case production goals, but instead will only use the finest lots each vintage has to offer to ensure consistency in quality while paying tribute to our world-class winegrowing site.

We have listened to the vineyard and in turn aspire to the perfect expression of Skipstone in each bottle.

In 2003, Fahri recruited highly-regarded organic farming consultant Amigo Bob Cantisano to help develop standards specifically tailored to the diverse geography and terroir of Skipstone.

A specialist in organic farming since 1972, Amigo Bob has worked closely with many of Napa and Sonoma’s most prestigious vineyards and wineries.

Today, Skipstone is a thriving organic and sustainable estate, uncompromising in its farming standards and its stewardship of the land. In return, its vineyards and orchards yield nature’s finest quality fruit.

The Girard family have 6 different parcels of Sancerre vineyards. Their hillside vineyards are located on classic clay and chalk soils, giving the grippy, mineral style expected of true Sancerre. This is so that the Sauvignon Blanc is brought to the winery in the coolness of night-time, thus retaining the classic citrus and gooseberry aromas and flavours of Sancerre. Pale yellow in colour. The nose is fresh and full of hay, citrus and mineral notes. The palate is medium in body with crisp lemon acidity and an appealing creamy complexity alongside the ripe peach, elderflower and mineral flavours which last well on the long finish.
