Producer

Feudo Antico are currently working on 15 hectares of vineyards, cultivated exclusively with native varieties and with limited yield systems (no more than 80/90 quintals per hectare).

Moreover in keeping with the cru philosophy, each land was selected on the basis of its soil and climate and the best production. Therefore only hilly or mountain vineyards with high density in a well-defined area.

"We have been wine growers for several generations. in 2004 we started Feudo Antico, with the aim of revitalizing indigenous crops and protecting a fragile environment, while strengthening the sense of belonging of our community.

Firstly our interest was focused on Pecorino and Passerina, two autochthonous vines considered "minor", whose cultivation had long been neglected in our territory for economic and other reasons.

Both require systems with limited yields and special care that only with the contribution of greater ecotechnical awareness can they lead to appreciable results. We believed it, restarting the production from the beginning.

Then came the Rossi, obtained from a cuvée of old Montepulciano clones vinified in purity. And finally, the bubbles, a daring experimentation that allowed us to obtain a brut that combines the elegance of a blanc de blanc from Chardonnay grapes with the consistency typical of the Abruzzo region.

But what distinguishes this wine route from others that we have lived is that behind each vineyard there is a story, which continues to thrill us day to day." - https://www.feudoantico.it/
