Foradori Terodelgo Rotaliano

Foradori Terodelgo Rotaliano is deep, almost shy on the first nose, it reveals itself as the aromas come into focus: wild berries and candied fruit make way for roasted hazelnuts, baked bread, leather, eucalyptus and pomegranate, then the full robust palate shows plenty of temptingly chewy flesh.

Foradori Terodelgo Rotaliano is soft yet penetrating its sweetness is backed by a supporting acidity that weaves elegantly amongst the fruit. A great introduction to this grape variety.

“The Teroldego Rotaliano shows terrific purity and focus and plenty of drive and length. Elisabetta Foradori continues to set a very high bar in Trentino and the rest of Italy, for that matter. The reds are the strengths among the new releases. 89/100.” – Robert Parker

Eisabetta Foradori was thrust into the wine-making scene at a very early age with the death of her father. It was 1985 and she had just graduated from high school.

She had always been in touch with nature and when she took over the vineyards she began to replant her vineyards using massale selection – not because of any overriding grand plan- but because it felt right.

It is largely thanks to these efforts by Elisabetta and a few other dedicated growers in the Mezzolombardo area of Trentino that the Teroldego grape has survived.

In 2000, Elisabetta also embraced bio-dynamics. She saw the effects that conventional farming were having on her vineyards and she decided to start healing the land by enriching the soil and bringing the plants back into equilibrium.

Deep, almost shy on the first nose, it reveals itself as the aromas come into focus: wild berries and candied fruit make way for roasted hazelnuts, baked bread, leather, eucalyptus and pomegranate, then the full robust palate shows plenty of temptingly chewy flesh.

Soft yet penetrating its sweetness is backed by a supporting acidity that weaves elegantly amongst the fruit. A great introduction to this grape variety. elisabettaforadori.com
