Fox Gordon Princess Fiano
Fox Gordon Princess Fiano shows incredibly complex stone fruit aromas with delicate herbal undertones. On the palate the texture is unforgettable and the complexity continues. Almonds, peaches and greenage are all present with a lasting long spicy and uplifting finish.
The Princess’ frame isn’t weighty but, rather, seductively full in all the right places. She charms with bursts of bright nectarine, melon and pine nut, yet is able to maintain natural poise and composure whilst reigning over her region.
Fox Gordon is a family run winery specialising in contemporary, premium and award winning wines from the Barossa Valley and Adelaide Hills. From a diverse selection of grape varieties, each bottle is the ultimate fusion of wine and fashion. Made using the Fox Gordon philosophy of low input and low yield to give maximum flavour and preserve the inherent qualities of the fruit these wines are modern, fresh and vibrant.
Fox Gordon was founded in 2000 to allow the owners to live the dream of producing, marketing and selling premium wines from the Barossa Valley and Adelaide Hills after learning their trade working in some of Australia’s largest wine companies.
The founders, Sam and Rachel Atkins (nee Fox), David Cumming and Jane Gordon wanted to produce great wines that provide outstanding value for money under a brand that would offer both integrity and beauty. Importantly Fox Gordon was formed with a long term vision to take necessary time to achieve the founders’ goals and dreams.
The Fox Gordon name and logo celebrates the founding women in the company, using Rachel and Jane’s surnames to create ‘Fox Gordon’ and the stylised images of Rachel and Jane to produce the now highly recognisable logo. All the individual wines and sub-brands would carry the name of family and friends.
Building a wine company of real integrity takes enormous commitment, investment, belief, passion and time and the owners of Fox Gordon would not have it any other way.
