Rich, well balanced example of the Aussie classic blend. Lush black fruits coupled with touches of woodspice, liquorice and cassis follow through to a delicious, velvety finish.

Deep violet, almost black, colour. To the nose it has spiced notes with some forest fruits and berries. Very sweet and complex. On the palate it’s smooth and round, fleshy and concentrate. The wood is attractive and harmonious, with a long, robust finish.
5. Fince del Alta Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot, £7.69 (1 bottle) It has an attractive deep garnet colour with aromas of red cherries and blueberry jam on the nose. The fruitiness of the Malbec and the softness of the Merlot make for a beautifully balanced, easy drinking wine.
6. La Piotta Croatina, Lombardy, Italy, £10.49 (1 bottle)
Ruby red in colour with nuances of plum, it has an intense aroma with hints of red currants, blackcurrants and pleasing spicy notes. On the palate it is full-bodied and rounded with pleasing tannins.

All goods should be examined upon receipt, and any claim for loss or breakage notified by email or telephone to Hay Wines immediately. In the case of goods delivered by couriers, unless any claim is made within 24 hours, no compensation, refund or other credit will be available. In the case of damaged goods, Hay Wines reserves the right to collect these.

If you wish to return your order due to an error on our behalf, we are happy to collect or get our courier to collect from the delivery address stated on the invoice, providing the parcel is securely packed in the same way as it was sent out. If you wish to return the parcel yourself please feel free to do so. Once the parcel has returned to us we will refund you the full amount. The winery’s 15 ha of vineyards, with an average age of 50, benefit from the marl soil present in this area, which is ideal for winegrowing.
