Guerrieri Rizzardi Costeggiola Recioto di Soave

Guerrieri Rizzardi Costeggiola Recioto di Soave is light gold in colour with a lovely fresh, expressive nose, with perfumes of white flowers, almond blossom and a touch of citrus.

On the palate Guerrieri Rizzardi Costeggiola Recioto di Soave has great balance between rounded, ripe fruit and a fresh, clean acidity.

Guerrieri Rizzardi Costeggiola Recioto di Soave is long and fragrant, with the characteristic almond pastry notes on the finish.

Guerrieri Rizzardi Costeggiola Recioto di Soave: Guerrieri Rizzardi is an historic family owned estate established in 1914 but with vineyard holdings dating back to the XV century inherited from the Counts Guerrieri and XVII century from the Counts Rizzardi.

To this day the estates are family owned and run Contessa Maria Cristina Loredan is the winery president and her two sons Giuseppe Rizzardi and Agostino Rizzardi have been operatively running the company since the late ‘90s: Giuseppe is in charge of the estates management and is the winemaker, while Agostino is the general manager.

Costeggiola Recioto di Soave Classico DOCG
Made with grapes from selected parcels of vineyard Costeggiola. These parcels have distinguished themselves over the years thanks to their exposure, the age of the vines and the low yield per hectare, the features that make the grapes collected here particularly suited to the drying process. www.guerrieririzzardi.it

Garganega grapes are selected from vineyards planted with pergola in the middle and in the lower Costeggiola. Planted between 1960 and 1998, these vineyards produce grapes of the highest quality.

We devote only from 7% to 50% (rarely) of grapes withering, about a third of the total. The grapes are dried in wooden boxes in the loft of Costeggiola for about three to five months depending on the vintage.

We recommend serving this wine cool (12-14° C) with desserts like lemon meringue pie, sponge cake or pastry.

Aging potential: 10 years or more if properly stored.
