Description

Hill Billy Lemon Gin

Hill Billy Lemon is triple distilled on the Welsh borders high above Hay on Wye in the Black Mountains.

A zingy citrus explosion of 10 botanicals including lemon grass, lemon verbena, fresh lemons and apple from the ancient orchards of Herefordshire.

Perfect with tonic and a slice of fresh lemon. Don’t like tonic? Then try this with cloudy lemonade, it’s divine!

This is a gin made with mineral water from a spring high above us and loads of fresh lemon so it will have a slightly pearlescent finish.

50cl – 40% ABV

Ricard Pastis

The famous aniseed flavoured aperitif from Marseille. In accordance with Paul Ricard’s original recipe, Ricard pastis should be served cold. It should be prepared by adding 10cl of chilled water to 2cl of Ricard and then adding the ice cubes last. This ritual will release the full aroma of the anise. The unique recipe makes for an ideal combination with cordials (like pomegranate, mint, orgeat or grapefruit) or fruit juices (mango, strawberry, cranberry). 70cl bottle

Fifty Pounds Gin 43.5%

The nose is lemon, lime, juniper, and very classic in character. Just a tinge of sweetness with a touch of creamy lemon as well. Juniper on the tip of the tongue, followed by lemon, coriander and angelica. Just a bit of spice, with citrus blossoming in the middle. The finish hints at anise, angelica, juniper and citrus rind. Tart and direct, with a very dry palate cleansing finish.

Pour a small quantity of liqueur de rose into a champagne glass. Add the champagne. When serving, place a rose petal in the glass of champagne. The effect is magical! Bubbles rise to the surface, the kir becomes pale pink and once the petal has given off its sugar, it rises to the surface. The effect is guaranteed! Liqueur de rose can also be drunk as a digestif, iced in a frosted brandy glass.

Moniack Mead

Rating:
Moniack Mead is a traditional honey mead which is produced at Moniack Castle by Highland Wineries, and is said to be one of the best meads being made in modern times. Mead is one of the oldest alcoholic drinks known in history and, like all meads, Moniack Mead is produced through the process of fermenting honey. An interesting fact about mead is that it is traditionally drunk for the month after a wedding which is where the word “honeymoon” came from. Moniack Mead has a lovely, lingering and smooth flavour with elements of caramel and fermented honey. Our recommendation is that this mead is best served either chilled or if you prefer as a aperitif. 75cl bottle
