Producer

“For three generations, our family has been growing grapes on the fertile soils along the east side of Seneca Lake. Today we have over 119 acres of planted vineyards separated into more than 20 different vineyard blocks, planted predominantly on Honeoye Silt Loam and Lansing Gravely Loam soils. These holdings are managed using only sustainable winegrowing practices, to yield the finest lots of expressive and dynamic cool-climate varietals.

Our wines, including those in our sparkling program, are all produced and bottled in house using our estate-grown fruit, ensuring maximum control of grape quality and wine integrity. We take pride in every bottle of wine produced in our cellar and are proud, year after year, to share a bottle with fellow wine lovers.” – Lamoreaux Landing Wine Cellars – best finger lakes wine, best seneca lake winery, seneca lake vineyard (lamoreauxwine.com)

Alpha Zeta Garganega 2020

Relatively low fermentation temperatures help preserve the fresh fruit character of the grapes. 20% was fermented in large format oak. The wine was held in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks until bottling. Clear, pale straw in colour with fresh, delicate perfumes of stoned fruit, honeysuckle and almond blossom. On the palate, it is fresh but has surprising depth and a lovely peachy fruit character. A lively, lemonyzest finish offsets the ripe fruit on the palate.

Aromo Viognier 2020

Full bodied white with a rich background of savoury notes, a very aromatic peach and mayblossom fruit character, but without any sweetness. No oak and fresh fruit makes this wine a real winner. The Aromo wines have a great charm and appeal and this is no exception.

Dobogo Tokaji Furmint 2018

Medium gold in colour with a complex array of aromas including fresh notes of lime, pear, ripe apple, quince, herbs, chamomile and a hint of spiciness. The taught acid structure balances the ripe fruit concentration and salty, mineral character, which lingers on the elegant finish. This is a young and dynamic wine, which can be enjoyed immediately or aged for several years.

Peter Lehmann Margaret Semillon 2013

While bottle ageing in the Tanunda cellars, the wine has developed an attractive vibrant green/gold colour. The bouquet shows hints of lemon flower together with some waxy, honeyed development so typical of great, aged Semillon. The grapes were picked early in the season to retain more natural acidity and the palate is dry with a zesty finish.
