The consistency has led to solidity in the market. Morton Estate is probably best-known for Chardonnay, for which it has won numerous local and international accolades – including the Best Chardonnay in the World trophy in 1997 at the International Wine Challenge Competition.

Since then, Morton Estate has expanded its portfolio, and today produces award winning Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Noir, Syrah, numerous Bordeaux blends, and Pinot Gris while also expanding its range of Methode Traditionnelle sparkling wines.

Geographically Morton Estate has a presence in three major regions in New Zealand – The Hawkes Bay, Gisborne and Marlborough.

These three regions play host to some of the best wine-making in New Zealand, each providing their own distinct regional style to our wines.

Spagnol Prosecco DOC Treviso Brut 2021

Classic straw yellow colour. Fine, persistent and delicate bubbles. The bouquet has perfumes and aromas ranging from fruit (pear, apple) to flowers (acacia, elderflower). The sugars in the wine are perfectly balanced with clean acidity and a typical minerality that comes from the fact that the grapes are grown in some of the region's best vineyards. This all gives the impression of a drier wine, but incredibly smooth and well balanced on the palate. From Spagnols family vineyards, low sulphite and suitable for vegans, an excellent value for money. A real artisan Prosecco, for a real Prosecco lover!

Bollinger Special Reserve

Special Cuvee is made from a majority of reserve wines fermented either in mature oak casks or small stainless steel tanks depending on the characteristics and fundamental potential of the base wines. A significant part of the reserve wines have been fermented in mature oak barrels before being transferred into magnums, which are then stored under cork in Bollinger’s cellars for as long as 12 to 15 years, with a minimum of 5. Blended some years later with the other base wines, coming from the two latest harvests in proportions which can change from one year to another, they impart the final blend with an inimitable and unrivalled consistency and majesty.

Spagnol Colfondo Prosecco Frizzante Il Fondo

A traditional Colfondo Prosecco, made with re-fermentation in the bottle according to the Classic Italian Method, without disgorging or dosing the finished wine. This is a light wine but with good body; bone-dry with residual sugars between 1-4 g/l. The perlage is very fine, given the aging on its own yeasts. There are distinctive notes of bread crusts and ripe yellow fruit. The lees deposit on the bottom is usually compact but, if shaken, it can be quite hazy and cloudy.

Peter Lehmann Black Queen Sparkling Shiraz 2015

Beautifully deep in colour with a persistent fine bead. The nose is an enticing mlange of chocolate, dark cherry, hints of spice, a touch of vanilla. A beautifully integrated and fully harmonious wine offering an explosion of flavour balanced by the complexity resulting from its time in the bottle

Spagnol Prosecco DOCG Frizzante Lo Spago

The colour is bright straw yellow and it has the light and soft perlage typical of Frizzante wines. The nose senses a bouquet of apple and floral notes of acacia and wisteria. The taste is fresh and very typical, with good acidity balanced by tatantalizing sapidity or an almost salty minerality. This wine is closely linked to the traditions of this territory and characterised by the typical “twine knot”. The cork is fixed to the bottle neck with twine, a procedure which is still done today by hand, just as it has been done for generations by the farming families of this area.

Zero Sugar Prosecco DOCG

Charles Heidsieck Brut Millesime 2012

An opulent Champagne with the perfect balance of freshness and generosity, from the smallest and arguably the best of the Grande Marques. Charles Heidsieck Brut Millesime is golden in appearance, on the nose the aromas are autumnal and warm with notes of praline and lightly toasted hazelnuts. The palate is rich, as would be expected from a warm and generous vintage, with intense notes of dried apricots, dates and figs. Full bodied and layered, and lasting on the finish.
