Lustau Don Nuño Dry Oloroso Solera Reserva 75cl
Lustau Don Nuño Dry Oloroso Solera Reserva 75cl wine combines softness and great complexity, giving enormous length on the palate.
Lustau Don Nuño Dry Oloroso Solera Reserva 75cl – rich stews and red meats would be a very good food pairing for this wine, it is also an excellent digestif
The history of Bodegas Lustau dates back to 1896, when it was founded by Don José Ruiz-Berdejo.
He grew some vines in his own finca called Finca Nuestra Señora de la Esperanza, aged the wines for some time and then sold them to bigger houses that commercialized and exported the wines. This is what is called an almacenista, a warehouser or stock keeper.
Aged for 12 years in the bodegas of Jerez, in American oak casks through the “Solera” method. Rusty gold in colour. Full-bodied and with great intensity on the nose due to the long ageing. http://www.lustau.es/en/
The “Finos and Manzanillas,” with the delicacy and refinement that is the result of the biological aging process, are the perfect accompaniment to seafood and shellfish. They pair exceptionally well with Japanese dishes like sushi and sashimi.
Given their low levels of acidity, these two wines go well with salads, dressings, cold soups seasoned with vinegar, like gazpacho and salmorejo.
The almost sweet nuances of Iberian ham, one of the gastronomic jewels of Spanish cuisine, are enhanced by the dry flavour of Fino and Manzanilla. The freshness of the wine awakens our palate after each bite.
