Maculan Dindarello
Maculan Dindarello has an intense nose of Muscat grapes, honey and flowers (orange blossom) leads to a vibrant palate, the sweetness balanced by freshness of flavour and a delicate mouthfeel.
Perfect pairing with pastry, fruit tarts, homemade cakes and also rich creamy cakes.
For three generations the Maculan family has been selecting and vinifying the best grapes in Breganze, an enchanting village at the foot of the Asiago high plains, where the extremely mild climate favors the cultivation of vines and olive trees. The hills of Breganze provide an idea soil for grape varieties such as Cabernet sauvignon, Merlot, Chardonnay, tai and Vespaiolo and the production of very high quality wines.
The winery was founded in 1947 thanks to Giovanni Maculan’s commitment and dedication, and then handed down to Fausto Maculan’s care. With passion and determination, he led the winery to what it is today. In 2007 his daughters Angel a and Maria Vittoria enthusiastically joined their father in managing the estate.
The Maculan estate consists of 40 hectares dedicated to vines and olive trees, and manages the cultivation of thirty selected growers. The winery is located in the historical centre of Breganze, where ancient traditions and state-of-the-art technology merge. This enables the Maculan family to produce beautiful wines, appreciated throughout the world.
It can be said that Fausto Maculan was born to make wine since he was delivered in the very space that is his office today. This is the most likely sign of his destiny.
In fact, at the age of 13, during school vacations, he worked in the winery. Unable to deny his salesman’s instinct, he began to visit customers, while accompanied by a driver of course, since he wasn’t yet old enough to have his own license.
At the age of 14, despite his love of classical studies, his insightful father enrolled him at the school of enology in Conegliano, where he graduated with honors in 1970.
At age 65, Fausto Maculan remains enthusiastic about his profession: eager to grow his knowledge, and curious about new experimentation. Even if he travel less around the world, he continues to speak on wine and to dedicate himself – body and soul – to the wine and winery that were his birthplace.
