Description
Mimic Shiraz
Mimic Shiraz is an explosion of damsens and plums, supported by sweet vanilla from the oak, explodes out of the glass and into your mouth!
One of the best wineries in Jumilla, Viña Elena. Run by 4 sisters, Monastrell is the predominant variety in the Viña Elena portfolio and flourishes in the nutrient poor, limestone soils.
Trained using the traditional Spanish method ´en vaso´, the wines produced by Viña Elena are thoroughly Mediterranean in style, certified organic and offer outstanding value.
“We are a very young team, which combine tradition and modernity, showing what they have learned from other generations and providing the most innovative and current knowledge in the process of winemaking.”
The main variety of the area is Monastrell grape, which finds its habitat in this area, serving three key requirements:. Combination of grape variety, soil composition and climate.
This helps the grapes develop their maximum flavour and colour characteristics , which is synonymous with quality.
New plantings of rainfed Monastrell of our vineyards are located in plots with good solar orientation (solanas slopes) with very rocky terrain allowing good drainage and moisture conservation of scarce rainfall.
Which shows the perfect adaptation of this variety to the ground, producing a small amount of grape but of unmatched quality. https://translate.google.co.uk/translate?hl=en&sl=es&u=http://vinaelena.com/&prev=search
“The winery has been evolving in terms of technology but without losing respect for heritage and family tradition. We invite you to meet us and be part of our history and of the great generational evolution that we have been protagonists.
We are convinced that wine tourism is not a passing trend. This shows us the increasing number of visitors who pass each day by Viña Elena. The buzz around wine growing, with the advantage that it is a style of tourism adapted to any audience.”
