Nostros Reserva Carmenere

Led by Roberto Carranca, the young and dynamic winemaking team at Indomita skillfully craft wines from their great vineyard holdings in two of Chile’s very best regions. The cooler climate Casablanca is great for Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir while the warmer Maipo Valley offers classic Cabernet Sauvignon and Carménère. Indomita produce superb, expressive wines that are both beautiful and stunning value for money. The Nostros Reserva and Gran Reserva ranges prove that Chile can offer the very best value and does produce wines with great varietal and regional definition.

Viña Indomita benefits from having the best climates for both whites and reds. Whites such as Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay thrive in the cool climate of the Casablanca Valley, the result of the Pacific's icy Humboldt current and early morning fog.

Reds such as Cabernet Sauvignon and Carmenère flourish in the sandy, fast draining soils of the MaipoValley.

Viticulture
Closest wine region to the city of Santiago. Vineyards stretch eastward from Santiago to the Andes and westward to the coast to form three distinct sectors of the Maipo Valley best known for its well-balanced red wines. Alto Maipo reaches into the foothills and produces some of Chile’s leading Cabernets. Central Maipo is one of the country’s oldest and most diverse productive regions, and Coastal Maipo—a relative newcomer—benefits from the cool maritime influence that slides over and between the Coastal Mountains.

Winemaking
Traditional alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel tanks at 28-29º C. Maceration period can vary between 5-15 days. No oak treatment.

Nostros Reserva Carmenere has an intense, almost black, red colour. Aromas of red and black wild berries, truffle, paprika, pepper and clove. The round and silky body so characteristic of ripe Carménère offers a pleasant, persistent and full experience. It’s a perfect match for curry.
