Ombretta Agricola Mosso
Ombretta Agricola Mosso is a delicious Colfondo with loads of fruit and a crisp refreshing mousse.
The wine is light bodied, bone-dry and, without filtering or clarification, as hazy as a blizzard in a snow globe.
Furthermore, the wine shows aromas of thyme, apple and a savoury, yeasty kick on the finish.
Certainly, this is a very rustic and traditional Colfondo that combines freshness with depth of flavours.
The lees at the bottom of the bottle offer the wine softness, mouthfeel and longevity.
Shake them into the Colfondo to give a buttery-spicy flavours.
Natural wines are not chemically manipulated to produce a standardised output, which must be preserved at all costs.
Therefore, they reflect their vineyard origins better. Therefore, they can also vary significantly from one vintage to the next. They feel the influence the climate and of the general environmental context.
Certainly, the objective is precisely to obtain the best possible output under varying circumstances, always trying to deliver a wine that reflects the distinctive character of the territory.
Moreover, having very little or no added SO2, natural wines usually evolve in the bottle, especially in the first months or years.
This is a general characteristic of completely natural wines.
Ombretta Agricola Mosso – The Producer
Alex della Vecchia is the young man who worked with Ernesto Cattel of Costadilà.
Alongside Martina Celi continues to maintain the vines and make those wines after its founder Ernesto Cattel’s passing in 2018.
Starting in 2017, he started to vinify grapes from his family’s vineyards out of the Costadilà winery.
They make a sparkling Colfondo plus a white from skin-contact Verduzzo Trevigiano.
Moreover, they make a still red wine from Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot.
Most importantly, alex does not fine, filter or add sulfur.
In addition, this is a tiny project and the wine is available in small numbers.

All goods should be examined upon receipt, and any claim for loss or breakage notified by email or telephone to Hay Wines immediately. In the case of goods delivered by couriers, unless any claim is made within 24 hours, no compensation, refund or other credit will be available. In the case of damaged goods, Hay Wines reserves the right to collect these.
