Port Charlotte 10YO Islay
Firstly, this Port Charlotte 10YO Islay has been conceived, distilled, matured and bottled on Islay alone.
The young team have deep-rooted values, and an ambition to make the ultimate “Islay” Islay whisky.
Crucially, this is a whisky made by people not software; a whisky watched over every day of its maturing life by those who made it.
Colour: Primrose to citrine
Nose: Oak, smoke and spirit. Dry and earthy, with caramel, vanilla, cloves, nutmeg and ginger.
Palate: Delicate and soft in texture and style. While coconut, vanilla custard, lemon honey flavours are coupled perfectly with smoked oysters and sun baked salty sand.
Finish: Smoky, but also a soft sweetness of fudge and malted barley, orange, mango and Banoffee pie hinting the depth and quality of the oak.
Port Charlotte single malts are peated to a heavyweight 40PPM.
In addition, they are trickle distilled through tall, narrow necked still; the resulting rich and aromatic spirit has all the power of peat with the elegance and finesse for which the stills are famous.
Moreover, all of their spirits are matured all their life in the warehouses on the side of Loch Indaal, Islay, gradually responding to the sea air and unique seasonal changes of Scotland’s west coast.
Each cask is carefully watched over by the team, before being bottled in our Harvey Hall, using Islay spring water.
Port Charlotte single malt explores the complexities of natural whisky, through barley provenance, cask influence and the passing of time.
Finally it is living proof that their values are rooted in provenance, authenticity and transparency.

Returns and Exchanges
All goods should be examined upon receipt, and any claim for loss or breakage notified by email or telephone to Hay Wines immediately. In the case of goods delivered by couriers, unless any claim is made within 24 hours, no compensation, refund or other credit will be available. In the case of damaged goods, Hay Wines reserves the right to collect these.

If you wish to return your order due to an error on our behalf, we are happy to collect or get our courier to collect from the delivery address stated on the invoice, providing the parcel is securely packed in the same way as it was sent out. If you wish to return the parcel yourself please feel free to do so. Once the parcel has returned to us we will refund you the full amount.
