Raventos i Blanc L’Hereu Brut

The Raventos i Blanc L’Hereu Brut has a pale colour, and it is renowned for it’s soft toasted aromas, and dry lingering citrus qualities on the palate.

Raventos i Blanc L’Hereu Brut is a clean and fresh bubbly that is sophisticated enough for just about any meal as well as your next celebration.

The Raventos family have a viticultural tradition dating back to 1497, making them one of the oldest continuous vineyard owners in the world.

Josep Maria Raventos i Fatjo is credited with producing the first Cava in 1872, creating a legacy that the following generations take very seriously.

In 1986 Josep Maria Raventos i Blanc decided to sell his share of Cordoniu, then under the ownership of the family, keeping the best vineyards for the newly created Raventos i Blanc estate.

The focus since has been on quality and regionality, in particular expressing the special properties of the terroirs around Saint Saturni d’Anoia.

The sparkling wines (like the Raventos i Blanc L’Hereu Brut) are made using only the indigenous varieties like Xarel.lo, Parellada, Macabeo and Monastrell and show real depth, expression and longevity. Current proprietor, Pepe Raventos, places high importance on the health of the vineyard environment creating a biosynergy where the animals, the vines, the soil and the people work together as an agricultural unit.

The estate reached its certified organic status in 2012.

As of 2013, Raventos i Blanc are no longer part of the Cava DO and have started the process of creating a new, terroir driven appellation, Conca del Riu Anoia.

The decision to leave the DO stemmed out of the desire to set a standard in high quality wine production where rules such as the use of only indigenous grapes, ecological viticulture, estate produced and estate bottled fruit and minimum ageing requirements apply.

Blended some years later with the other base wines, coming from the two latest harvests in proportions which can change from one year to another, they impart the final blend with an inimitable and unrivalled consistency and majesty.

Pol Roger Brut NV

Pol Roger Brut Reserve is synonymous with classic, brilliant Champagne. The Champagne has its devout disciples within the trade - almost a trade secret! When you get to taste it you will understand why the trade want to keep it for themselves. The small, classic bubbles, perfumed spice, vanilla and coffee leading to a fruit filled bundle of vibrant tastes finishing with elegant spices and a hint of butter. On the nose, white flowers, green apple, brioche and a trace of minerality dominate the champagne. Spagnol Colfondo Prosecco Frizzante Il Fondo

A traditional Colfondo Prosecco, made with re-fermentation in the bottle according to the Classic Italian Method, without disgorging or dosing the finished wine. This is a light wine but with good body; bone-dry with residual sugars between 1-4 g/l. The perlage is very fine, given the aging on its own yeasts. There are distinctive notes of bread crusts and ripe yellow fruit. The lees deposit on the bottom is usually compact but, if shaken, it can be quite hazy and cloudy.

On the palate it is mellow, appealing and velvety, lightly aromatic. The important residual sugars in the wine (25 g/l) are perfectly balanced with the huge minerality that comes from the hill of Cartizze and its soil. This all gives the impression of a drier wine, but which very smooth and balanced on the palate. Cartizze is widely considered to be the "Grand Cru" of Prosecco.
