Rex Hill Pinot Noir

Rex Hill Pinot Noir is a classic Oregon Pinot Noir with intense fruit flavours, initial perfumed aromatics redolent of violets and roses, black currants, blueberries, black raspberries and wild strawberries are joined by suggestions of tobacco leaf, clean earth, dried fruit, smoke and spice as the wine opens.

Rex Hill has been making elegant Rex Hill Pinot Noirs for over 30 years in the Willamette Valley at the gateway to Oregon’s wine country.

REX HILL honours exceptional single vineyards and continues a legacy of singular Pinot Noirs that reflect their origin. That sense of place is paramount to the way we farm our land and make our wines.

Rex Hill used to be a rundown fruit and nut drying farm of all things, before Paul Hart and Jan Jacobsen arrived 1982 and planted Pinot Noir vines.

The winery owns some of the oldest vines in the Willamette Valley and the wines are farmed in an environmentally friendly way as possible using biodynamic farming and sustainable business practices.

Since Paul and Jan’s retirement in 2007, Deb and Bill Hatcher of A to Z Wineworks in Oregon have assumed control of the winery and are continuing the good work producing brilliant wines with fantastic purity of fruit.

REX HILL’s winemaking philosophy is simple: with great integrity and honesty we craft the finest wines we can aiming to truly represent their origins and varietal character.

A classic Oregon Pinot Noir, Rex Hill Pinot Noir has intense fruit flavours.

The original vineyard around the winery is now all Pinot Noir except for one row of Muscat left for the sweet delight of harvest visitors. The focus on high quality Pinot Noir at the gateway to the Northern Willamette Valley makes REX HILL a must stop on visits to or through wine country.

In 2007, A to Z Wineworks (the William Hatcher Family, the Francis Tannahills, and a few partners including Gregg Popovich) purchased REX HILL Vineyards and Winery bringing fresh enthusiasm and energy to the properties strengthening both brands. A commitment to excellence is evident in their Biodynamic farming and sustainable business practices. The two families also brought wine education to REX HILL which now offers classes and seminars to professionals and the public”.

Returns and Exchanges

All goods should be examined upon receipt, and any claim for loss or breakage notified by email or telephone to Hay Wines immediately. In the case of goods delivered by couriers, unless any claim is made within 24 hours, no compensation, refund or other credit will be available. In the case of damaged goods, Hay Wines reserves the right to collect these.

Ship your items back to us

If you wish to return your order due to an error on our behalf, we are happy to collect or get our courier to collect from the delivery address stated on the invoice, providing the parcel is securely packed in the same way as it was sent out. If you wish to return the parcel yourself please feel free to do so. Once the parcel has returned to us we will refund you the full amount. Please note that refunds may take up to 7 working days to appear in your account.
