Royal Tokaji Blue Label 5 Puttonyos is medium gold in in appearance, with a fine fresh bouquet of orange peel and flowers.

On the palate Royal Tokaji Blue Label 5 Puttonyos has an excellent balance, the sweetness being offset by fine acidity, flavours of tropical fruits and oranges with a great length.

Founded in Hungary in 1990, The Royal Tokaji Wine Company has become one of the most defining wineries in Tokaji.

From the outset, Royal Tokaji decided to concentrate on producing single-vineyard wines, made from the first growth vineyards of Mezes Maly, Nyulaszo, Szt Tamas and Betsek. Acknowledged as one of the region’s top winemakers, Karoly Ats combines traditional techniques with modern technology to create the award-winning Royal Tokaji range of wines.

Royal Tokaji is the acknowledged leader of the renaissance of this legendary Hungarian wine, which, in the words of the wine author and company co-founder Hugh Johnson, is “a wine that would make angels sing out loud in praise”.

Royal Tokaji was inspired and founded by Hugh Johnson, the noted author and wine historian, whose goal was to revive and bring back to international acclaim the wines of one of history’s most renowned wine regions.
Royal Tokaji remains in private ownership and today our wines are exported to more than 30 countries.
The wines of Royal Tokaji have won over 100 international awards and continue to seduce wine lovers throughout the world.

Royal Tokaji was the first foreign company to invest in the Tokaji wine region. This pioneering leap of faith prompted the Hungarian Government to privatise other state owned vineyards and sell them to other foreign investors, mainly French insurance companies.

Returns and Exchanges

All goods should be examined upon receipt, and any claim for loss or breakage notified by email or telephone to Hay Wines immediately. In the case of goods delivered by couriers, unless any claim is made within 24 hours, no compensation, refund or other credit will be available. In the case of damaged goods, Hay Wines reserves the right to collect these.

This Cabernet is a limited release showing great depth of colour, rich blackcurrant flavours together with a firm, fine grained tannin finish- a wine of great concentration and style which can be cellared with confidence. After a short burst of heat in late January and early February, it was warm and stable for the remainder of the vintage producing richly flavoured red wines of exceptional quality.
