Salcombe Distillery Midnight Sun Non-Alcoholic Gin

‘Midnight Sun’ has been carefully distilled and crafted using 7 core botanicals and a further 7 natural botanical distillates and extracts, all of which have been hand-selected to showcase the flavours of the wild Nordic coastlines and nod towards the pillars of modern Nordic cuisine.

To create the base for ‘Midnight Sun’, our expert distillers first make a ‘botanical steep’. 7 hand-sourced and carefully balanced botanicals including elderberries, seaberries, kelp and samphire are steeped in a neutral grain spirit and water which macerates for 48 hours at about 40% ABV. The use of alcohol to extract and carry flavour is an important part of the process.

Next, using a combination of craft and innovation, the ‘botanical steep’ is then distilled in our rotary vacuum still; a process that removes the alcohol without removing the flavour. This creates a highly concentrated core flavour distillate, which acts as the backbone of ‘Midnight Sun’. This core flavour distillate is then carefully blended with a further 7 natural flavours such as lingonberries and pine and stabilised with the unusual use of kombucha.

All goods should be examined upon receipt, and any claim for loss or breakage notified by email or telephone to Hay Wines immediately. In the case of goods delivered by couriers, unless any claim is made within 24 hours, no compensation, refund or other credit will be available. In the case of damaged goods, Hay Wines reserves the right to collect these.

If you wish to return your order due to an error on our behalf, we are happy to collect or get our courier to collect from the delivery address stated on the invoice, providing the parcel is securely packed in the same way as it was sent out. If you wish to return the parcel yourself please feel free to do so. Once the parcel has returned to us we will refund you the full amount.
