Sparkling Orange Wine Vej by Podere Pradarolo

A beautiful and unique sparkling orange wine.

With an amber colour that recalls the colour of the natural Malvasia grape in the sun.

On the nose, especially a touch of typical Malvasia aromatics and floral notes.

On the palate this sparkling orange wine is full bodied and the tannins stand out, the finish is fresh and dry.

Made from organic grapes, with 60 days of maceration, no added sulphur dioxide, use of native yeast only and without filtration.

Sparkling Orange Wine Vej by Podere Pradarolo spends 16 months on the yeasts for the tirage, before the actual disgorgement.

Pas dosé & Millesimé. A very rare style of traditional method sparkling orange wine.

The Producer

The Pradarolo Farm is in Varano de’ Melegari in the province of Parma.

The farm where the vineyards, wine cellar and villa are located, is between 250 and 500 meters above sea level.

It is on the left bank of the river Ceno, where it forms a kind of natural amphitheatre fully exposed to the south.

One part is badlands and the rest is mainly fodder and vineyard.

Orange Wine Making

The wine making in Sparkling Orange Wine Vej by Podere Pradarolo shows a complete absence of preservatives, additives and stabilizers.

This is possible only if you have available a fruit with excellent properties.

The long maceration (a tradition especially in Georgia and Armenia, cradle of viniculture) making wine which is stable without using additives.

Using these techniques they especially extract the most colour, fragrance, aroma, vitamins, and polyphenols from the fruit.

The goal in the vineyards is to reach a balanced ecosystem especially with density, pruning, productivity and weed control.

This is why the preservation of the biodiversity is especially considered a key factor for obtaining an organic grown product.

Bollinger Special Reserve

Special Cuvee is made from a majority of reserve wines fermented either in mature oak casks or small stainless steel tanks depending on the characteristics and fundamental potential of the base wines. A significant part of the reserve wines have been fermented in mature oak barrels before being transferred into magnums, which are then stored under cork in Bollinger’s cellars for as long as 12 to 15 years, with a minimum of 5. Blended some years later with the other base wines, coming from the two latest harvests in proportions which can change from one year to another, they impart the final blend with an inimitable and unrivalled consistency and majesty.

Bollinger La Grande Annee 2014

La Grande Année is Bollinger’s Prestige Cuvée and is only produced when exceptional vintages occur. The grapes come exclusively from Grand and Premier Crus. The first fermentation is always carried out 100% in old oak barrels, which is quite exceptional in Champagne. The wine is aged on its lees for a minimum of 5 years, often more. After manual riddling and disgorging, the wine rests for a minimum of 3 months prior to shipment.

Bastia Valdobbiadene DOCG Superiore di Cartizze Prosecco Dry 2020

Pale straw yellow in colour with an fine and persistent perlage. The aromas are deep and delicate with flower notes like the rose, the field’s violet and fruity scents of apple and September peach. On the palate it is mellow, appealing and velvety, lightly aromatic. The important residual sugars in the wine (25 g/l) are perfectly balanced with the huge minerality that comes from the hill of Cartizze and its soil. This all gives the impression of a drier wine, but which very smooth and balanced on the palate. Cartizze is widely considered to be the "Grand Cru" of Prosecco.
