Description

Stella Bella Chardonnay

Stella Bella Chardonnay is a brilliant pale lemon with green highlights.

The bouquet of Stella Bella Chardonnay has a panoply of scents of great intensity and complexity – there is an interplay of the aromatic notes of white flowers, anise and lemon curd with the deeper notes of spicy oak, some yoghurt‐ like nuances and a hint of struck match.

The deft palate of  Stella Bella Chardonnay shows both restraint and power – taut citrus, pear and briny/mineral elements build in the mouth and meld perfectly with the savoury, nutty, fine‐grained oak which nevertheless remains unobtrusive.

The finish has a pleasant grapefruit‐like tang and the signature length of flavour which shows great persistence. A wine of elegance & finesse.

Stella Bella is a small boutique wine producer located in Margaret River in the beautiful south west of Western Australia. In 2000, Stuart Pym and his winemaking partner Janice McDonald started Stella Bella with the vision of creating wines that were truly unique, reflective of their creativity and vast global experiences. (Stella Bella)

Stella Bella owns 5 exceptional vineyards throughout the cooler and increasingly prized central and southern areas of the Margaret River Wine Region, one of which, the Suckfizzle vineyard, is the most south-westerly vineyard on the continent.

The Stella Bella wines have been highly reviewed and awarded internationally with 5 red stars with James Halliday (the highest accolade for a wine producer) and numerous gold medals and international trophies including the Mission Hill Trophy from the International Wine & Spirit Competition for Top International Chardonnay. Stella Bella means ‘Beautiful Star’.

“We believe our wines celebrate all things bright spirited and beautiful. Our Stella Bella wines are made to suit every occasion. The range consists of high-quality wines that possess all of the colour, character and seductive flamboyance that the labels suggest”.

A beautiful floral nose, dancing fruit, charming and balanced, it possesses an excellent racy acidity and is altogether a great success. From 50-year-old vines in Les Aubues, an enclave within better known Enceigneres, this is very attractive with quite a full nose and an excellent finish.

Domaine des Brosses Sancerre Quick View

Domaine des Brosses Sancerre 2018

The Girard family have 6 different parcels of Sancerre vineyards. Their hillside vineyards are located on classic clay and chalk soils, giving the grippy, mineral style expected of true Sancerre. Domaine des Brosses has used a machine harvester to collect the grapes since 1989. This is so that the Sauvignon Blanc is brought to the winery in the coolness of night-time, thus retaining the classic citrus and gooseberry aromas and flavours of Sancerre. Pale yellow in colour. The nose is fresh and full of hay, citrus and mineral notes. The palate is medium in body with crisp lemon acidity and an appealing creamy complexity alongside the ripe peach, elderflower and mineral flavours which last well on the long finish.
