Stratford Gin
Stratford Gin is juniper led with delicious herbal notes and a burst of floral and citrus
Shakespeare Distillery is an artisan spirit producer. Everything they produce is in small handcrafted batches, ensuring they can devote their time and attention to creating the best tasting spirits around.
Tudor England, the time of William Shakespeare and also a new creative era for spirit production. Stratford Gin is inspired by bygone pioneers who experimented with local home-grown flavours. Handcrafted in small batches in Stratford upon Avon, Warwickshire with authentic Tudor garden botanicals including rose, lemon balm, rosemary and old English lovage fused with the more familiar juniper, coriander and lemon peel; this truly is a modern gin with a twist of history.
At Shakespeare Distillery they are committed to creating high quality spirits. With Stratford Gin they employ the ‘London Dry’ method of production, nothing can be added to the Gin other than the flavours imparted during distillation. For an added challenge and to ensure they really can say that they have created a handcrafted product they do this using the single shot method, meaning all the ingredients required to make one batch of gin are added in at the same time.
They don’t make a concentrate and blend this down to get the flavour they want. This means they need to put the same love, attention and passion into every batch to ensure they each have a consistent delicious flavour which they are proud to call Stratford Gin.
The distillery is fortunate enough to be located on the Alscot Estate, which is a beautiful 4000 acre country estate on the outskirts of Stratford upon Avon with a history extending back to the middle ages. To get to the distillery you pass through rolling open fields, old farm buildings and an enchanting wood, you also need to navigate past a bouquet of pheasants and the occasional deer
