Vesevo Beneventano Aglianico

Vesevo Beneventano Aglianico is a dark, brooding wine with rich aromas of chocolate, mocha and ripe black cherries.

The intense, savoury palate of Vesevo Beneventano Aglianico balances the weighty fruit with the ripe, supple tannins beautifully and finishes on a long, smoky, chocolate note.

Vesevo in the Irpinian hills of Campania. Known as the ’Switzerland of the South’, this is potentially one of Italy’s most exciting wine producing areas.

The vineyards are situated at between 450-700m above sea level, and are subject to a constant cool breeze that blows off the Bay of Naples.

Over the centuries, this same breeze has blown volcanic ash from Vesuvius inland to give the soil here a poor, volcanic character.

The flavours obtained in the vineyard are then preserved in the winery by Marco Flacco.

Vesuvius is a collaboration between the producer Farnese Vini Abruzzo and some local partners who, after years of winemaking experience in Irpinia, in 2000, they decided to give light to the marketing of wines produced under the name of Vesuvius.

Vesuvius is the ancient name of the volcano Vesuvius, with its dramatic eruptions, he has created so much volcanic those lands which today are the real wealth of the more than 60 hectares of land (part of which is for rent) that produce the best wines one of the youngest companies bells which proved immediately as a reality of great success in the regional. http://www.farnesevini.it/vesevo_azienda
