Description
Vina Cobos Bramare Rebon Estate Malbec
Vina Cobos Bramare Malbec is an intense, full bodied red wine. Full to the brim with ripe red fruit flavours, silky tannins and notes of chocolate and leather.
Moreover on the nose there are notes of black fruits and violet which leads to toasty oak flavours and well balanced tannins on the palate.
Also this wine is suitable for Vegans and Vegetarians. Single estate.
Ideally, this Malbec would be the paired with any rich meat dish, but would be perfectly matched to a juicy steak.
We recommend decanting this wine, and is available to drink now until 2026.
Wine Maker
Californian trail-blazer Paul Hobbs visited Argentina in 1989 and fell in love with its terroir and culture.
Now, Viña Cobos is the result of a shared dream between Paul and his winemaking partners – Andrea Marchiori and Luis Barraud.
Founded in 1997, Viña Cobos utilises old vines, careful vineyard selection, low yields and an unerring empathy for raw materials.
The result is a range of expressive, balanced, world-class wines with a true sense of place.
In addition, the inaugural 1999 vintage received the highest score to date for an Argentinean wine upon release.
Subsequent releases earned 98 points from Wine Advocate magazine.
Moreover these wines continue to earn outstanding plaudits from the world press. Viña Cobos has an extensive team of grape growers located in different outstanding winemaking regions in Mendoza.
They work closely together and are committed to quality and a respect for the terroir.
Subsequently, the Bramare Appellation highlights the richness of Mendoza regions and it exquisitely shows the differences among the excellent grape growing potential in Luján de Cuyo and the Uco Valley.
Therefore these wines are abundant, expressive and hedonistic with highly aromatic intensity, ripe fruit and soft tannins.
Primarily Luján de Cuyo is known historically as the ‘prime zone’ for wine-growing in Mendoza.
The high elevation location (3,018-3,537ft), in combination with a semi-desert climate and low-nutrient gravelly soils, allow the vines ideal conditions for cultivation of high quality fruit.
