"Highland" is a "protected locality" for Scottish Whisky distilling and refers to single malt whisky distilled in the Highland region of Scotland.
Despite being sparsely populated there are 39 single malt distilleries in the Highlands producing whiskies with a wide range of flavours and aromas.
This broad diversity means some Highland whiskies feature fruity, floral or malty characteristics though they tend to be full-bodied with a balance of sweet and smoky notes.

The character of each distillery is often influenced by the local water sources and peat levels as well as their individual production techniques.

Oban distillery draw their water from Two lochs in Ardconnel. Edradour get theirs from the Ben Vrakie Springs while for Tullibardine it is the Ochil Hills and the Danny Burn that supply their water.

We also stock whisky from AnCnoc, Clynelish, Dalmore, Deanston, Glen Garioch, Glengoyne, Old Pulteney, Royal Lochnagar, Tomatin and Glenturret.

The whiskies are as varied as the Highland landscape which includes coastal areas as well as mountains and valleys. Our expertly curated selection reflects the varied landscape and long standing history of the Scottish Highland region.
