Cantina di Torra Patrimonio Rouge 2020
Cantina di Torra Patrimonio Rouge
The Cantina di Torra Patrimonio Rouge has a distinct structure, the ripe tannins have a lot of grip, the wine is elegant, almost "cool" in its fruit, there is a touch of Beaujolais in character.
Because of its finesse you never would placed it in a warm southern cultivation area.
Stylish and elegant!
Food matchings: braised meats, roast white meats, pizza, pasta.
The Winemaking of Cantina di Torra Patrimonio Rouge
Niellucciu fermented whole cluster and aged in concrete tanks for six months.
Daily pumpovers don't allow for too much maceration, so this is an easygoing - yet still quite serious - foray into the world of Nicolas Mariotti Bindi.
Nicolas Mariotti Bindi Patrimonio Rouge: the Producer
Nicolas Mariotti Bindi is a well-studied lawyer, but he decided to pursue a career in wine-growing on his native island of Corsica.
Since 2007 he has been a vineyard manager at the Domaine Leccia in Patrimonio and also manages 5 hectares of his own vineyards, which he organically farms.
The fermentation takes place without added yeast and sulfur it uses only in very small amounts, in order to transport the expression of the terroir as naturally true to the bottle.
The Grape Variety of Cantina di Torra Patrimonio Rouge
Nielluccio is considered as a dark-skinned red wine grape variety that is widely planted in the region of Corsica.
This grape variety is used as a principal grape variety as to the production and preparation of the Appellation d’Origine Controlee AOC red wine of Patrimonio.
In this wine, the content of this red wine grape variety goes up to whopping 95 percent. The vines of this grape variety are early budding wines and they require huge care during their budding-stage.
This grape produces the wines that are lacking in color, but the content of alcohol in them remains high.
