Talley Vineyards Estate Chardonnay
Tasting Note
Aromas of ripe stone fruit- peach, tangerine as well as refreshing citrus flavours. The palate is racy with acidity with a lovely minerality typical from this region in California. "An ideal Chardonnay for shellfish, and one that will last in the cellar for years." - 91/100, Wine Enthusiast
Producer
We are delighted to introduce Talley Vineyards, led by owner Brian Talley and winemaker Eric Johnson. Based in the newly created AVA, San Luis Opisbo, affectionately known as the ‘SLO’ Coast said to be the coldest AVA in California. Despite Talley Vineyards being a 3-hour drive northwest of LA, the cool winds that roll off the Pacific Ocean create an ideal climate for growing Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.
Their range of wines are wonderfully ocean influenced with terrific tension, freshness, and delicacy. The Chardonnay’s have cool climate fruits with a lovely floral and mineral lift. The Pinot’s are intensely perfumed, floral, and energetic.
The Rosemary’s Vineyard is climatically Talley’s coolest vineyard, which produces wines of most elegant, tension and intensity.
