Description

Nose ; Fresh green apples lemony citrus notes and a light malty sweetness. Palate ; Caramel and honey with more citrus and tropical fruits that combine with a subtle spiciness. Finish ; Sweet malty notes with fading apple freshness.

Glen Ord 10 Year Old Old Particular

Glen Ord distillery was founded in 1838, making it one of the oldest in Scotland. Situated on the edge of the Black Isle west of Inverness, Glen Ord continues to malt its own barley and to use the long fermentation and slow distillation methods followed there for generations.

A mere 10% of the production is marketed as single malt, which are generally regarded to be good value for their quality, and in 2007 the distillery’s whisky was chosen for the ‘Singleton’ range, along with Glendullan and Dufftown malts. The idea of the ‘Singleton’ range is to provide single malt whiskies for various areas in the world: for example, Glen Ord Singleton is primarily aimed at an Asian market.
