More Information

A Mano Rosato

A Mano Rosato is a delicate and charming pink color. Intense and complex aroma with blackberry fruit, strawberry and orange blossom aroma. Light, fresh and delicate flavor with a pleasant flavor.

Rosé needs a special color and full flavor with low-ripening grapes to maintain acidity. Not really easy in Puglia.
A Mano Rosato is bottled pleasure. Stimulate all your senses and create the desire for another sip. The wine is immediate, then offers flavors that evolve on the palate.

Mark Shannon and Elvezia Sbalchiero, the duo behind A Mano, have worked in the wine business for most of their lives. http://www.amanowine.com/

Elvezia is a northern Italian wine marketing expert and Mark is a Californian winemaker. They fell in love with Puglia and, when they decided to start their own label, made it their home.

By producing wines of quality, Mark and Elvezia have succeeded in making Primitivo one of Italy’s most talked about grape varieties.

They pay high prices for the best grapes from 70-100 year old vines and focus solely on quality and a modern style.

Part of the reason for the continued success of A Mano is the greater knowledge that Mark and Elvezia have after almost a decade of vintages (the first was as a consultant for another company) in the region.

Not only are they getting access to Salento’s best grapes, but their growers have also come to realise that if they want the higher price paid by A Mano, they need to provide even better grapes than in previous years.

The quality of the grapes shines through in the resulting wines.

The valley provides a constant airflow from the Adriatic sea to the warmer interior regions of Puglia.

The fresh breezes lower the night time temperatures, encouraging the development of the lovely perfumes in the grapes. The soils are well-drained on a soft rock base.
