Angoris Albertina Pinot Nero

Medium intensity ruby note. Nose: Complex and elegant olfactory framework that ranges from spices to ripe red fruit, with light notes of field flowers.

Palate: Fresh, spicy, sapid, rightly tannic, harmonious and inviting.

Serving Suggestion: Mixed boiled meats, white poultry meat, baked pork, medium-aged cheeses.

Prefermentative cold maceration of the crushed grapes for about three days, at the end of which the alcoholic fermentation is induced with the inoculation of selected yeasts. When the sugars are completely developed, the wine is aged in stainless steel tanks for 70% and in tonneauxof 500 liters for 30%. The aging process lasts until July when it isbottled and left to rest in the bottle for other 10 months.

This wine is dedicated to “Albertina”: Giulio’s wife, Luciano’s mother and Marta’s grandmother.
It is a wine that brings us back to the history of the winery (in Angoris Pinot Nero has been produced since the ’70) and to the family Locatelli: Albertina (as Giulio) was a decisive figure of this historical Friulian family.

History of Tenuta di Angoris

Because of his service in the Thirty Years War, the Emperor Ferdinand III gave Locatelli Locatelli 300 fields in an area of Cormòns.
That area – called “Langoris” – was indeed part of the Hapsburg Empire.

From this time on, the quiet woods, green hills and gentle vineyards to the Tenuta di Angoris became a retreat.
And this both for the royal families and the èlite from throughout the Hapsburg Empire.

Villa Locatelli, which still dominates the estate, became a symbol of quality and hospitality.
The wines that came from the estate made their way across the royal courts of Europe.

After 3 centuries the Tenuta di Angoris is now one of the most prestigious Friuli wineries.
Today, the entrepreneurial spirit of another Locatelli family manages the Tenuta.

Claudia Locatelli renewed in the latest years the wines and the looks of the Tenuta di Angoris.

Respect for traditions that date hundreds of years. Respect for the rhythms of life dictated by seasons and by nature. It is not easy to remember these guiding principles in a fast-moving, ever-changing modern world.

Claudia Locatelli and family strive to balance these goals every day. Passion for those products of a land that has given so much for so long. Dedication towards improvement. A marriage between tradition and innovation.
