Description

It is a deeply coloured, fruit forward Pinot with a nose of spiced cranberry, strawberry and hibiscus. The abundance of fruit continues on the palate showing plum, dark cherry, and cranberry with nuances of anise, tea and clove. It is a powerful Pinot at a great price point.

The classic Au Bon Climat Santa Barbara County Pinot Noir is a dry, elegant, and medium-bodied red wine featuring bright red fruit, subtle earthiness, and balanced spice.

Nose: Fresh red and black berries like strawberry, cherry, and raspberry, mixed with hints of tea leaves, white pepper, and light oak spice.
Palate: Juicy red fruit flavors supported by smooth, silky tannins, crisp acidity, and a touch of savory earth or wet stone.

Producer

Au Bon Climat winery was totally devoted to making classic, Burgundian-styled Chardonnay and Pinot Noir in Santa Barbara County. The convergence of cool, brisk Pacific air, marine-based soils, and east-west running valleys of the area provided an ideal place for growing exceptional grapes. Hence the name “Au Bon Climat,” the French idiom for “good place”.
